The Ashtabula Elks Club has been dedicated to helping charitable causes in Ashtabula County for well over 100 years. From our annual Veterans Day Dinners to our Hoop Shot Free Throw Contest to fund scholarships for students, our Elks Club always strives to adhere to one of our main mantras “ELKS CARE – ELKS SHARE”. This recent fundraiser for the Ashtabula Animal Protective League is another example of our commitment to this principle. When we heard that, due to the extension of the Covid-19 pandemic rules, many of the APL's fundraisers have been canceled or postponed, Elks member Rebecca Anderson thought it would be an ideal project to help them for the 2nd year in a row by sponsoring a fundraiser called Wags, Whiskers & Wine. Our Elks lakefront lodge has facilities available to have this inside or outside so we could meet the social distancing requirements for safety and give the community a venue where they could bring their dogs and donations all at the same time! We had a great turnout and also received tremendous other donations in the form of dog food, cleaning supplies, etc. And as always, many Ashtabula businesses and private donations stepped up in the form of door prizes and volunteer help. The wonderful crowd that day was entertained by Ashtabula's own THE HIGH HORSE BAND and donated food was available for purchase - all helping the Ashtabula Elks Club #208 donate almost $2,000.00 to the APL! 🎉

A BIG THANK YOU 🙏 to all of our wonderful volunteers, without you this would not of been possible.
Rain or shine come out and join us at the Ashtabula Elks Lodge #208 this Saturday for our second annual APL fall fundraiser. Time: 4-8pm tickets available at the door !
