when is the xmas party?
The tradition of riding down Main Street in the Ashtabula Downtown Development Association's annual holiday parade is a favorite among Signature Health colleagues. This year's float was a creative interpretation of the classic movie A Christmas Story, to match the event's festive theme. Thank you to everyone who participated. We are so honored to serve the vibrant Ashtabula community!
Congratulations to Marty Cephas of the Ashtabula Downtown Development Association this year's recipient of the Executive's Award presented by the Chamber!
If you are watching closely, you might catch some activity at 4038 Main Ave. at Bender Tree. We have a small offering of plants currently. We hope to keep that offering growing by bringing in more as time permits. I am working both locations currently and that can make me hard to find. Please call if you are interested in something or take a look at what we have on our lot at 4038 Main Ave. Ashtabula, OH
Are you looking to open a small business in Ashtabula? Or maybe a second location for your current business? Check out this retail opportunity showcase on Thursday June 17th.
Hosted by the Ashtabula Downtown Development Association.
Details from another Ohio Historic Tax Credit recipient! This $20.4 million project in downtown Ashtabula will encompass FOUR buildings: three that were part of the Carlisle-Allen Co. department store and a former Masonic Temple.

Plans include the creation of more than 100 affordable senior housing units with fitness and community areas from the buildings, some of which have been vacant for 20 years.

The redevelopment will also be part of a larger area revitalization plan supported by city officials and the Ashtabula Downtown Development Association, with the buyers, Renew LLC acquiring Main Avenue’s nomination as a Historic District on the National Registry of Historic places. This designation would allow all owners within the proposed district to apply for historic tax incentives for their future projects as well.
