The tradition of riding down Main Street in the Ashtabula Downtown Development Association's annual holiday parade is a favorite among Signature Health colleagues. This year's float was a creative interpretation of the classic movie A Christmas Story, to match the event's festive theme. Thank you to everyone who participated. We are so honored to serve the vibrant Ashtabula community!

Details from another Ohio Historic Tax Credit recipient! This $20.4 million project in downtown Ashtabula will encompass FOUR buildings: three that were part of the Carlisle-Allen Co. department store and a former Masonic Temple.

Plans include the creation of more than 100 affordable senior housing units with fitness and community areas from the buildings, some of which have been vacant for 20 years.

The redevelopment will also be part of a larger area revitalization plan supported by city officials and the Ashtabula Downtown Development Association, with the buyers, Renew LLC acquiring Main Avenue’s nomination as a Historic District on the National Registry of Historic places. This designation would allow all owners within the proposed district to apply for historic tax incentives for their future projects as well.

Our calendar has an ever-growing list of retail and community activities for all ages, and during all seasons. As owner of Fargo Machine Company in Ashtabula, OH, Larry Fargo has machined all the Freedom Tracks and now TopLoad Aluminum Tracks for NuCanoe kayaks dating back to February 2014. This week, Larry completed the sale of his business to transition into a more leisurely lifestyle, and his last shipment as owner of Fargo Machine was this load of NuCanoe TopLoad Aluminum Tracks!
