Thank you, Winterstar 2021 for the opportunity for creating a venue to perform.
We, musicians, look forward to being able to share our passion with others.
You made that happen during these social distancing times.

Did these rock stars ever make The Starwood Festival?
My father like his only child traveled all over the world to bring back many aspects of global culture, at times embracing it as their own.
In the early part of my father's 1930s Naval career he was a bosun and explosives expert.
As a part of the job former, rather than the latter duty, he had to learn to tie over 100 knots for different purposes ie every knot had a purpose. I earned my badge in knot tying, something Papa took a robust pride in, bragging to his buddies at the lodge and his Chiefs Club.
During that first part of his career he spent time in the Far East, from Shanghai to Tokyo in Japan, as well as the Beautiful Gardens in Kyoto.
In Shanghai China he studied the discipline of martial arts, caligraphy, poker, both Mandarin and Cantonese, as well as Buddhism, becoming a Buddhist himself.
My father and I were very much alike, with regard to our going native wherever we went, except in Islam, Israel, the Middle East, my father loathing the misogyny of the Arab world and Orthodox Jewery.
In Japan he studied Japanese art, language, culture history and the militarism that led to WWII. He began favoring kimonos, in his home and traditional Chinese fashion, with the elaborate silk suits, taken from various dynastic families, usually of Mandarin influence, only wearing Mandarin collar white dress shirts for the rest of his life, when out of uniform.
He picked up many other disciplines, traditions, with regard to taste in food and culture, things that made him perfect for the Intel work that I am only now truly having an understanding of.
Whilst he was living in Singapore, Shanghai China during the 1930s into 1941, my mother, the woman he would marry in 1952, while he was teaching at the War College, the Olympic grade figure skater was training as an aerial high wire circus acrobat, in Bridgeport, CT, near my current domicile.
I had no idea what Sh***ri was until, after my fathers death, in my 14th year, when two of his fellow naval officers sought to buy all my father's beautiful silk rope, and one of them, at my father's wake, began to tell me about Sh***ri, a conversation cut short by my mother Mimi, who with a very knowing wink, gave the two men all my father's fine rope. My prudish Uncle Hank, my fathers brother wanted to burn the evidence. He also gave my fathers gun collection away, wanting to keep it out of my hands, I suppose.
A very active intimate life of my parents might have explained why it took them eight years to procreate me and my twin sister, Aurora, who did not make it much past birth.
It never occurred to me that my sainted mother practice Sh***ri with my father, until years later when moving her to assisted living and discovering, at 90, her special drawer but respecting her privacy, I did not pry.
It cannot have helped my parents intimate relationship, that their only child was precocious, curious and into pretty much everything.
One Saturday the religious door knockers happened by, so I invited them in, served them Ice-T, as every dutiful child of the South would and begin to engage them in conversation.
The pastor told me what a lovely genteel child I was but that they were there to see my parents, at which point I walked to the bedroom door, that was standing in plain view of the couch, the one that these good Christian people were sitting on.
Without so much as a knock, I just opened the door and heard a shriek in the bedroom and on the couch, from the good Christian ladies, one musing "Well, I NEVER!
The term in the Navy would have been "riding topside" and my mother Mimi, in all her glory, was in fact, doing just that!
I happened to notice that there was rope work on her but I had no idea what it was. It was only later in life that, as an adult, that I connected the sacred dots.
My mother was freaking out after they left, that they saw everything, to which my father replied "but they only saw my feet" at which point my mother picked up a crystal ashtray and threw it at him, hitting him right square in his knee cap.
After icing his "OUCH" domestic accident, my father took me out for ice cream, like he always did for one of our talks and my mother didn't leave the house for a month.
Papa suggested that the next time circumstances like that presented themselves, that I should fire a warning shot, across the bow, before opening the door, which had no lock on it.
I fully appreciate all that led to my conception on Christmas Day 1959 and apparently Sh***ri was apart of it.
I celebrate the joy and curious spirit of both of my parents, their private way of giving the finger to the rigid 50s - 60s conformity, that led to the Summer of Love.
I'm so happy for them that they had this special devotion to shared beauty and intimacy.

Please do enjoy these images. You might find your way into opening your mind whilst closing a few knots.

When facing the end of his life, I still invited Isaac to our phat parties, at our Banta Place House in New Jersey, in Hope's that he would enjoy the art, music and cannabis pavilion, made of recycled Barbie princess tents.

Issac had heard of the faery king's entry in Bettah Cribs and Grow Houses of New Joisey but was too sick to attend.

The house was only a stop on the way to Alex Grey's psychedelic, visionary destination, CoSM, where Isaac Bonewits and the faery king met for the first time at a function. Alex really loved Issac's magical, experienced and well-studied insights. Both of these wonderful men had alot to share with one another that night, much to the chagrin of a few auto-graph seekers.

Isaac understood the ethic of not treating someone, as tho' they are dying, even when they appear to be, as miracles do surround us in our world, don't fhey?

We, at the house, never had the chance to offer Issac the grand hospitality that One such as he, in all his gentle but direct wit, wisdom and humily truly deserved.

Isaac was my kind of Druid, one so kind in spirit, with a studied sense of the past and traditions, a hope-filled lense to the future, whilst grounded in the sometimes dark and perilous reality of now.

Such an illuminated heart, mind and soul, is so very missed in these times of tumult, despair and disease, times with depraved officials in power.

We do need ones so wise as he, to step up and guide our very diverse and sometimes difficult tribal community, that of the festival and New Age world. We miss you Issac.

"Christians have oppressed Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Pagans, and each other throughout their centuries of power, preaching religious intolerance as the word of Jehovah whenever they had the military, political, or economic power to make it stick — and then piously preaching brotherhood, peace, and toleration when they didn’t."

Isaac Bonewits
I can't edit my last post because it hasn't been approved yet, but here is my most recent article to prove I'm not a cop. Lol:
Hi friends! I just recently got a gig writing for Cannabis Culture Magazine, and my next assignment is to write about the rapidly-growing segment of senior citizens who are using w**d for therapeutic purposes. I figured the Starwood Family is a good place to find people I can talk to about this.

I am looking for people to interview who fit into the following categories:

1. Age 70 and up who use ma*****na or CBD.
2. Age 65 and up who use it to treat physical or mental symptoms.
3. Age 60 and up who only recently started partaking (in the last 5 years).
4. Doctors who endorse the use of ma*****na to treat symptoms.

No diagnosis is required, but it would be great if I could talk to someone who actually has a card or recommendation or however it works in your state.

The use does not have to technically be "legal" and I will protect my sources.

If you or someone you know fits into these categories, please send me a DM. Anyone who is interviewed can choose to stay anonymous, or they can be featured in one of the most popular cannabis publications out there.

I am grateful for the help! Love to you all!

P.S. Here is my most recent article to prove I'm not a cop. Lol.
