Ashtabula County District Library

There's always something to discover at the Ashtabula County District Library...
Great meeting this morning! Thank you to Ashtabula County District Library for hosting!
We had a great group for our member networking this morning. Thank you to the Ashtabula County District Library for hosting us!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at our upcoming network opportunities April 5th from 5-7 pm at Cloven Hoof Brewing Co. and April 21st from 8-9 am hosted by After School Discovery!
In case you missed out on the forum last week, the Ashtabula County District Library has posted the recording. Thank you to those that participated, attended, and watched the stream - we hope that word gets out, 'how to run for office' - democracy will take everyone doing their part!
We look forward to seeing you there! The event will be streaming live on Facebook (through the Ashtabula County District Library, we will share that feed here). You can register & join us via zoom or attend in person at the library.

We'll see you Thursday, January 22, at 7pm!

This event is for you even if you personally do not want to run for office! You'll gain insight into the process and be able to assist others.

We are grateful for the hard work of the folks at the Ashtabula County District Library for their help and support on this event.
Do you read eBooks or use eAudioBooks? Use Libby, the Library System of Lancaster County's new app for enjoying eBooks and eAudioBooks!

Thank you to the Ashtabula County District Library for sharing this!
For Library Card Sign-up Month, the Ashtabula County District Library held a contest to encourage patrons to find an "un-carded" friend.
So there is this thing #GiantAnimalsOnLibraries ... and the Ashtabula County District Library challenged us. Of course there is a giant eagle on our roof.

We challenge our friends at the Kinsman Free Public Library and the Linesville Community Public Library .
Rainy summer day? 🌧️ Color it away! 🎨 Visit any Ashtabula County District Library branch to pick up FREE NOPEC Coloring & Activity Books for your kids. We'll be giving them out all summer as part of a new pilot program for libraries in NOPEC communities.
The absolute worst thing we have ever seen used as a bookmark was a piece of pizza.

P.S. Hey, Ashtabula County District Library, could you come over here for a sec and give us a hand?
Awww. Crash popped up on my FB Memories. πŸ₯°

Follow up question: what wonderful services were you enjoying while there?

"Libraries are places where communities connect - to things like broadband, computers, programs and classes, books, movies, video games, and more. But most importantly, libraries connect us to each other."
- Molly Shannon, National Library Week Honorary Chair

Thaavi stopped by the Library with his mom to enjoy the super cool kids space and make some new friends - and that's what connecting with the Library is all about!

We want to know: how do YOU connect with your library?

It's and we're looking at the ways in which you can connect with your library. Cas and Dennis both enjoy coming in to use our fast reliable WiFi.

How do YOU connect?

Photos from Ashtabula County District Library's post 04/07/2022

We love seeing the ways that you connect with us at the Library but we also love reaching out to the community. You may remember that during the Winter Creative Carnival, we invited donations of non-perishable food items to distribute to local charities. The Geneva Public Library donated 75lbs of food to the Geneva Food Pantry, presenting the donations to Sandi Kleps. The Ashtabula Public Library donated two large boxes of food to the Blessing Boxes at the First Presbyterian Church and the United Methodist Church, accepted by Rev. Samuel Monte and Rev. Watkins.

And we want to thank all of you who were a part of that community connection!

Today is Take Action for Libraries Day, part of the celebration. Every year, Congress crafts a budget for the federal government that provides vital funding for libraries nationwide. As Congress begins the budget process for Fiscal Year 2023, we need you to take action for libraries, library workers, and the communities we serve.

Oh and shout out to the guy who makes Home Delivery possible πŸ™Œ

We were happy to be able to meet with State Senator Sandra O'Brien today for the Ohio Library Council's Legislative Day. It's all part of the action for and connecting with our community!
